The picnic will be held on Saturday Aug. 31, from 12:00-5:00, at Longbranch Park. Note that Longbranch Park is next to, but distinct from, Onondaga Lake Park.
From I-90:
Take Exit 38 and go left on 57N.
Follow this one mile to Longbranch Rd. (3rd light from the exit).
Cross Rte. 370 and go straight to the stoplight.
Cross over the one lane bridge.
Longbranch Park is on the right.
From I-81:
Take the RT-370/Park St. exit (exit number 23-24) towards
Liverpool/Hiawatha Blvd. Keep left at the fork in the ramp, then
go basically straight and follow the signs to RT-370/Onondaga Lake
Pkwy. Follow 370 as it becomes Oswego St., 2nd St., and Cold Springs
Rd. Turn left onto Longbranch Rd. and follow it over the one lane
bridge. Longbranch Park is on the right.
The wedding ceremony will be held at 3:00 on Sunday, Sept. 1 in Hendricks Chapel on the campus of Syracuse University.
From I-81 South:
Take the Harrison St./Adams St. exit (exit number 18) towards Adams
St. Merge onto Harrison St. Turn left onto S. Townsend St. Turn
left onto E. Adams St. Turn right onto Irving Ave. Turn left onto
Waverly Ave. Turn right onto S. Crouse Dr. and enter the Syracuse
University campus. Tell the guard you're going to a wedding at
Hendricks Chapel.
From I-81 North:
Take the Adams St. exit (exit number 18) and take a right onto
E. Adams St. Turn right onto Irving Ave. Continue as above.
From the Sheraton:
From the Sheraton it is a 3-4 block walk to the
Chapel. They can provide directions. If you drive, follow University
Ave. until it ends and go right on Waverly Ave., then take the next
left onto S. Crouse Ave. and continue as above.
From the Genesee Inn:
Head west on E. Genesee St. Turn left on Irving Ave. Continue as above
(Waverly Ave. should be the fourth left).

Leave the University where you entered on S. Crouse Dr. Head straight
for a few blocks and turn left on Harrison St. Follow this under the
highway and turn left on Townsend St. Take the next left onto East
Adams St. Follow the signs to 81 S.
Take 81 to exit 16A (route 481 N.). Get off almost immediately at Exit 1 (Rock Cut Rd.) At the end of the ramp, turn right. Go about 1/3 mile to the traffic signal at the end of the road and turn left onto Brighton Ave. Proceed about 1/4 mile on Brighton Ave. to the 2nd traffic signal and turn right onto Lafayette Rd. (it's the second right turn past the Mobil station). Lafayette Golf & Country Club is located one mile down the road on the left.

From the downtown area, take 81 N. to exit 26, which is US-11, towards Mattydale. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto Brewerton Rd./US-11 S. Turn left onto Sand Rd., which ought to be the first left.
From the north, take 81S to exit 26, Mattydale. Make the loop under 81, then turn into the mall, which will be on your left.

Explore the site of an original boiling block where brine (salt water) was turned into what was then considered one of the country's most precious commodities. See the actual kettles, wooden barrels and other equipment that were used in this fascinating process which came to an end in the 1920's.
